Ms. Kadala, with a background in computer engineering, brings an extensive history of experience and leadership in the field of intellectual property (IP).  

Ms. Kadala is an experienced executive in the medical device and electronics industries. From 2011 to 2015, she served as CEO and general counsel of a biotechnology regenerative cell start-up that resulted from cooperation with institutions such as U.T. Health Science Center at M.D. Anderson and Tulane University, commercial entities, non-profits, and private researchers.  Ms. Kadala was involved in product development and was an inventor on a patent application.  She developed the company's global patent strategy and navigated both domestic and foreign regulatory schemes.  As CEO, she oversaw the accounting, marketing and sales functions of the company.

In addition, Ms. Kadala has provided a variety of IP legal services from patents to copyrights to trade secrets protection, in both transactional and litigation contexts. Ms. Kadala is also fluent in Spanish.

• Counsel clients on IP-related issues;
• Obtain patents for a diverse range of inventions in varying technologies, including oilfield technologies, medical technologies, and electronic technologies;
• Establish trade secret protections in similar industries;
• Evaluate and manage IP rights, including licenses;
• Protect company branding efforts through effective and strategic use of trademarks and licenses;
• Draft non-disclosure agreements, privacy policies, IP assignments, terms of service agreements, cookie policies, license agreements;
• Provide services relating to copyright, trademark and trade dress rights.

Intellectual Property Litigation

• Over 20 years of litigation experience in national intellectual property law firms;
• Litigation experience includes medical devices, electrical and electronics patents and technology.
